Robert Hunter Biden was born on February 4, 1970, in Wilmington, Delaware. He is the second son of President Joe Biden and Neilia Hunter Biden. His siblings include Beau Biden (deceased), Ashley Blazer Biden, and Naomi Biden.

Hunter Biden's early life was marked by tragedy. In 1972, his mother and baby sister, Naomi, were killed in a car accident. His father, Joe Biden, was severely injured but survived.
